Chris Cappy is a U.S. Army veteran of the war in Iraq who creates trusted content on national defense, geopolitics and defense technology. Known for his deep knowledge of military affairs, Cappy breaks down complex topics with humor and insight. He tries to bridge the gap between both veterans and civilians alike by making the topics accessible to both. Cappy formerly ran and hosted the youtube channel Task & Purpose which he grew to 2 million subscribers. He brings first hand experience to his analysis having served as a regular grunt in the army and having reported as a journalist from the frontlines in the war in Ukraine.
